William Arnold Smith was born July 26, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas, to Clara Lee Smith. He attended Amarillo Public Schools and graduated from Palo Duro High School. At the time of his death, he was employed by JCPenney as a stylist. For many years he was an active member of Central Church of Christ.
He looked forward to his yearly mission trips to Kenya and anything that had to do with his four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Johnson; father, Homer Johnson, Sr.; brother, Homer Johnson, Jr.; sister, Rubbie Phea and son-in-law, Adrian Walker.
He is survived by his two daughters, Nalda Walker and Chandra Smith of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Abrysha, Bryasia, Azaria, and Armari; sisters, Eliza Ruth Stewart of Dallas, Texas, JoLynn Johnson of Naples, Texas, Veatrice Johnson of Amarillo, Texas, and a host of family, friends and his wonderful church family.
