Valerra lived a full life in her 76 years. Settling in Amarillo after life in the military with her first husband Allen Gentry, she began a career in cooking at Albertson's, finally retiring from Amarillo School District. She later earned her CDL license to travel on the road with her husband Jerry Best, a truck driver.
Valerra was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Best, oldest son Allen Gentry; youngest child, James Gentry; and granddaughter, Jalisa Gentry.
She is survived in death by daughter Vallicia Gentry; grandson Jamiel Hernandez and family; several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and dear cousins, extended family and friends.
We love you and will truly miss you. 'Lay your weary head to rest.' We Love you!
