TraShunda TreChelle’ Rene’ Carter was born on June 17, 1992, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Meosha Jones and Meldon Carter, Jr. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in Lawton, Oklahoma, and she received some formal education from Cameron University. She served as a correctional officer at GEO facility in Lawton, Oklahoma, and most recently at Bill Clements Unit in Amarillo, Texas. She had a passion for detailing cars and aspired to open her own detailing business. To many people she was known as Tray; however, her family affectionately called her “Tee.” She always wanted the best for others, always willing to help, would give you the shirt off her back. She truly embodied the Mamba mentality, which is a
sense of coolness under pressure and an unrivaled, tenacious desire to improve.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Meldon Troy Carter, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Bishop Walter Jones; paternal grandmother, Bessie Smith; uncle, Walter J. Jones; and her cousin, Serenity Flores.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Meosha Jones (Terry Williams) of Amarillo, TX; father, Meldon Carter, Jr. (Glenda), of Glenn Heights, TX; maternal grandmother, Senetta Jones of
Amarillo, TX; sisters, Edna Pittman-Rouce (LaMar) of Oklahoma City, OK, LaToya Carter of Lancaster, TX, and Shaniquea Edwards (Raynard) of Amarillo, TX; uncles, Robert Jones (Mary Patterson) of Amarillo, TX, Devlon Jones, Paul Jones (Lucinda) of Amarillo, TX, and Arven Jones, of Arkansas, James Carter of Tuscon, AZ, Patrick Carter of Tuscon, AZ, and
Torrence Carter of Tuscon, AZ; aunts, Debra House of Amarillo, TX, and Cynthia Jones of Vacaville, CA; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
