Tony Laval “Cut” Finney was born to the late Alphonso and Ruby (Mason) Finney on April 22, 1956, in Brownfield, Texas and departed earthside May 2, 2026.
Tony graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1974 and then later Amarillo College. He then began an expansive career path consisting of long-haul driving, Sheriff Deputy, IBP/Tyson, he ran for City Commissioner while working at a Warford Walker Mortuary. He later moved to the oil field at Halliburton for 20 years and then to Plains Dairy where he finally retired in 2024.
He was untied in marriage with Felicia Batie on August 10, 2019. He loved playing dominos, cards, going fishing, making his famous potato salad and mostly having a good time talking noise with his family. Tony was a man that knew no stranger. He was a friend to many; his laughter, energy and kindness created memories that will be cherished forever. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Kendrick Mayes and Neal Harris; and three siblings Robbie Faye Finney, LeBert Finney and Mary Helen Greene.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Felicia Finney of Amarillo, Texas, four sons; LaRonn Martin(Melissa) of Killeen, Texas, Alphonso Mills of Amarillo, Texas, Ja’Toris Finney (Heather) of Lubbock, Texas, and Jaylen Butler of Fort Worth, Texas; seven daughters, Tamika Whitley of Long Branch, New Jersey, LaToya Banks (Chris), Adriane Woods, Alessandra Finney all of Amarillo, Texas, Baida Jasso of Houston, Texas, Liyah Darton Finney, Breana Darton both of Pampa, Texas; four brothers, Ray Finney, Donnie Finney both of San Antonio, Texas, Ronnie Finney and Bruce Finney, Sr. both of Amarillo, Texas; four sisters, Ruby Jo Sheffield of San Antoino, Texas, Gwen Shead (John), Darlene Betts, Marilyn Jackson all of Amarillo, Texas; five beloved children whom he loved as his own: LaKesha Mills, John Mills, Toney Frost, Reanna Jackson and Jaqueda Harris; seventeen grandchildren, five great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
