Theodore Lynne “Ted” Washington was born March 21, 1960, to the loving and precious arms of Theodore and Quida Anne Washington in Wichita Falls, Texas. His life began as humbled beginnings. As Ted became older, he was determined to use his childhood as a steppingstone to a better life. Throughout his nurturing years, Ted fought the ills of society to become purpose driven. Once he became a teenager, his focus in life was to serve this great country. Upon completion of his general education, he immediately enlisted in The United States Army. He served proudly in the United States Army achieving the rank of Staff Sargent and achieved many awards, including the Southwest Asia Service Medal with three bronze devices, Army Commendation Medal 3rd awards and the National Defense Service Medal. Ted participated in Operation Desert Shield, later Operation Desert Storm as a Nuclear Biological Chemical Specialist. Ted retired from the United States Army in June 1995 honorably. Moving into the second phase of his life, Ted became employed by the United States Post Office where he retired after (25) twenty-five years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister, Artelia Mae.
He is survived by his sister, Janice Sargeant of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Thomas of Amarillo, Timothy and Tarrance of Dallas, Texas; special friends, Britches Monroe, Ray Ford; favorite sisrter-in-law, Annette Sargant; and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
