Stephanie "Nikki" Mason-Colbert

Stephanie Nicole Mason-Colbert (Nikki), age 48, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Amarillo, Texas, and carried her love for family and others with
her everywhere she went. Nikki was a Certified CNA who dedicated her life to home health care. Caring for the elderly was more than her profession—it was her calling. She treated every person she cared for with dignity, patience, and genuine love.

One of Nikki’s greatest passions was creating her Happy Heart Baskets. She took immense pride in each one, thoughtfully making sure every basket carried a special meaning. Her creativity and generosity reflected the purity of her heart.

Nikki’s smile could light up the world. Her heart was warm, kind, and selfless—she would do anything for others. She especially loved spoiling her nieces and nephews and bossing her sisters around—something she did proudly as the oldest, always with love and a smile.

She was preceded in death by her beloved niece Alyssa Morgan, nephew Zayden Hill, grandmother Velma Mason, and uncles Gerald Russell and Ricky Monroe. A special comfort is knowing that Zayden and his Nikki are together again.

Nikki is lovingly survived by her parents, Joe Colbert and Joanne Mason, both of Amarillo, Texas.

She also leaves behind her sisters: Juanita Colbert of Arlington, Texas; Monika Mason and husband Daniel Hernandez of Odessa, Texas; Courtney Hill and husband Justin Hill of Amarillo, Texas; Mariah Mason of Coppell, Texas; Brittney Mason of Amarillo, Texas; Aaliyah Mason of Euless, Texas; and Destiny Watson of Amarillo, Texas.

She is also survived by her brothers: Joe Jones and wife Stephanie of Borger, Texas; Timothy Colbert and wife Annette of Amarillo, Texas; Joe Colbert and wife Tamilia of Amarillo, Texas; and Whitney Colbert and wife Shawana of San Antonio, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
