Mrs. James Etta Johnson Pace “Shirley”
James Etta Johnson-Pace, affectionately known as “Shirley” passed away November 20, 2022, in Amarillo, TX at the age of 80 years old. Shirley was born to Leroy and Jewelline Turner-Wilson of Palestine, TX on March 28, 1942. She confessed Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Hill Baptist Church and attended AM Story High School before going to Tyler Beauty School in 1963. She married Herbert L. Hunt and to this union, three sons were born. Shirley was a beautician in Amarillo for many years before ultimately retiring from Bell Helicopter.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Jewellie Turner brother, Jesse Lee Butler and beloved husband, David C. Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Pace, Jr. of Amarillo, TX; children, Herbert (Silke) Hunt of Las Vegas, NV; Kelvin (Dorothy) Hunt of Garland, TX
and Darryl (Rhonda) Hunt of Amarillo, TX; sister, Annette Wilson of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren and a host of other dear relatives.
