Shasati was born March 12, 1983, in Amarillo, TX. Shasati spent her entire life in Amarillo, TX. She attended Whittier Elementary, Travis Jr. High, and Palo Duro High School. Shasati accepted Christ at an early age. Shasati was studying business at Abilene Christian College. Shasati was a member of The Refinery Church under Pastor Isaac Butler and a supporter of The Pivot Global Community Church. Shasati worked for A&A Advantage Care and Daybreak Community Service as the Area Director and Social Worker. Shasati loved God, family time, and supporting her boys and grandbaby. She was a big asset to her community. Shasati married Byron Luckey, Sr., on July 11, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, cousins, great-aunt and uncle, two aunts, and two uncles.
Shasati leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Byron Luckey, Sr.; three sons, Kyzae Luckey, Byron Luckey, and Tre’alan Luckey; granddaughter, Kyndal Luckey; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; father, Jodie Simmons, Jr. (Mrs. Dora); mother, Jacqueline Simmons; sister, Shannon Simmons; brother, Michael, John, and Gerrell Simmons; and special friends, Tiffany Inglis and Brittani McGhee whose lives were greatly blessed due to Shasati’s loving spirit.
