Serenity Janae Flores

Serenity Janae Flores, age 13, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Serenity was born on March 15, 2008, in Amarillo, Texas. Even though Serenity was taken from us before her time, she lived her life to the fullest every single day.

Serenity loved dancing and doing TikToks, listening to music, and hanging out with her friends. She loved playing volleyball and spending time outdoors. Serenity loved being around her family and friends. She was the life of every party and knew how to make everyone laugh.

Most importantly, Serenity had a deep love for her family. She enjoyed playing video games with her brother, Jayden and crawling in bed with her Grandma and Grandpa. Anyone lucky enough to know Serenity loved her and will forever cherish the memories held in our heart.

Serenity leaves behind her mother, Kendra Flores, father, Jayshon Dedrick, her siblings Essence Fleeks, Ariana Jones, and Jayden Jones, her nieces, Heaven Johnson and A’manie Johnson, her grandmother, Christy Flores, grandfather, Joe Flores, and great grandmother, Vicky Guinn. She is also survived by her aunt, Macy Flores, her uncle, Brandon Conner, and aunt Amy Conner, and cousins Noah Conner, Nevaeh Conner, Bravon Conner, Kennedy Conner, and great uncle Kevin Conner.

Serenity "Renny" will be truly missed!

The family is having a candlelight vigil and balloon release on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Sam Houston Park at 6:30 p.m. If you choose to bring balloons, the family is asking that you bring purple in honor of Domestic Violence awareness.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, at San Jacinto Assembly of God at 400 N Georgia Street, Amarillo, Texas, at 3:00 p.m. A procession will take place immediately following to Llano Cemetery. A dinner will follow.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you donate to The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence in memory of Serenity Janae Flores.
