Samuel "Sammy" Scott, Jr.

Sammy C. Scott, Jr. passed away March 7, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas, at the ae of 57 years old. Sammy was born to Samuel and Maxine Scott, in Amarillo, Texas on May 25, 1965. He confessed Christ at an early age at Johnson Chapel AME Methodist Church.

Sammy attended Robert E. Lee Elementary, Margaret Wills, Sam Houston Junior High, and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1983. Sammy went on to work as a dry wall specialist in Amarillo, Texas. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, but you could catch him watching all sports.

Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Maxine Scott and brother, Jimmy Davis.

Sammy is survived by his daughter, Lanica Warren; three grandchildren, J’veonne, Yariah, and Lariyah all from Houston, Texas; sisters, Francis Scott of Dallas, Texas; Racheal (Pastor Joe) Cofer of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Darren Rhinehart of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of family and dear friends.
