Ruby Johnson

Ruby Marie Johnson departed this life on January 23, 2022. Ruby was born October 30, 1954, in Amarillo, Texas to Edward Bryant Johnson and Margaret (Darden) Johnson.  Ruby attended Amarillo High School and took courses at Texas Tech University.  She worked as a CNA and caretaker throughout her work history.  She enjoyed watching soap operas, taking on the phone, and loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruby was one of a kind, and never met anyone that she could not hold a conversation with. She left an impression on anyone she met, and she will always be remembered, and loved by three sons and countless other young men she considered to be her sons as some of them may say their mom.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Edward and Margaret Johnson, sisters Lela Anderson and Ella Faye Crain, two brothers; Robert Johnson and Elbert Johnson, Sr.

She is survived by her brother Charles Johnson, three sons: Jerimie (Janet) Johnson, Rayceen (Genlater) Brown, of Amarillo, Nathaniel (Ima Jean) Shaw of Duncanville Texas. She leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
