Rosie “Rosa” Stone, 81, of Amarillo, TX, was called to heaven on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. She was born on September 19, 1943, to Jesus and Juanita Gullien.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Juanita Gullien, and her twin sons, Albert Jr. and Raymond Stone, and three brother’s Jesus, Raymond and Cruz Guillen.
Rosa’s loving spirit and legacy continue through her children: Donna Sisneros (Richard), James Stone (fiancée Rebecca Escoto), Veronica Salas, and Bianca Stone Miller; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
Rosa lived life with joy, passion, and kindness. She loved fishing, camping, dancing, singing, solving puzzles, and enjoying a nice cold drink. She found peace at Possum Kingdom Lake and cherished her time breedinging her beloved Shih Tzu. A die-hard football fan, she proudly cheered for her #1 team, the Redskins, and wasn’t shy about placing a bet AGAINST the Cowboys.
More than anything, Rosa had a heart of gold. She never hesitated to help anyone in need, whether she knew them or not. She lived by faith and always reminded those around her to trust in God, often saying, “God is good.” Her unwavering kindness, adventurous spirit, and deep love for family, friends and animals will be remembered by all who knew her.
Rosa’s love, laughter, and wisdom will remain in the hearts of those she touched, and her beautiful spirit will live on forever.
