Ramona Jean Gilbreath was born September 14th, 1963 to the late Louis and Billie Fay Gilbreath in Amarillo, Texas. She was the youngest of seven siblings. Ramona attended Tascosa High School, where she was a member of the Track and Field Team; she graduated in 1982. Ramona was raised in a Christian household and was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church. Ramona resided in Amarillo until 2004; she then relocated to Houston, Texas. Ramona was a loving- kind spirit who loved to cook, dance (life of the party), laugh, spend time with family, and was known as a person who was easy to talk to. She was a genuine person who cared about the well being of those she loved and was known for random check-up calls just to say, “I love you, how are you doing?” She loved music! One of her favorite musician was Paul Hardcastle, when his song “Rain Forest” came on she was ready to party. She also loved Erykah Badu and numerous of other neo-soul artists. Ramona will be remembered for her big infectious smile and the love she showered upon her family and friends. She will be missed immensely. Her life will never be forgotten as she lives on through the legacy of her children and grandchildren. Ramona departed life on Friday August 28th, 2020. She is proceeded in death by her parents Louis and Billie Fay Gilbreath, sisters, Juanetta Bradley, Patricia Gilbreath, and brother, Dewayne Gilbreath, niece Ronda Edwards, and Nephew Kevin Gilbreath. Ramona leaves to cherish her memories her son Dantrial Gilbreath, his wife Miasha Gilbreath, and Daughter Shantika Gilbreath all who reside in Houston, Texas; Three brothers: Louis Gilbreath and wife Mary Gilbreath of Henderson, Nevada; Wardell Gilbreath and wife Audrey Gilbreath of Katy, Texas; Gilbert Greg and wife Wanda Greg of Denver, Colorado; Sister: Brenda Gilbreath of Houston, Texas; Eight grand children: Tabria King, Dantrail Gilbreath, Atrion Gilbreath, Promise Gilbreath, Ce’Marion Gilbreath, Terrance Gist (T.J.), Kingston Gilbreath, and Nasir Gilbreath; Uncle: Robert Musgrove of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nine nieces, six nephews, thirteen great nieces, and eleven great nephews.
