Michael "Scooter" Dawn

On May 31, 2022, we lost our beloved father, son, brother and grandfather.  Michael passed away peacefully after a long battle with diabetes and other health complications.

Michael was born on July 16, 1969, in Lubbock, Texas, to Annie Lee Davis. 

He attended Avondale and Margaret Wills elementary, Sam Houston junior high, and Tascosa high school. He received a full ride scholarship to Midwestern State to play football. Michael was an all-around athlete who showcased his talents on the football field, basketball court and track. He soon earned the nickname "Scooter" in elementary due to his speed

Michael was an outstanding father and grandfather and was always a helping hand when needed. 

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Annie L Davis.

Michael is survived by his children; Ashley Wells, Taylor Dawn, Alexius Dawn, Yasmine Estrada, Michael Dawn Jr., Annilia Dawn. His stepfather, Carrol Davis, his two brothers, four sisters, fourteen grandchildren, and a host of nieces, and nephews.  Michael was a blessing to everyone. He fought the good fight, and we know he has definitely earned his heavenly angel wings
