Michael Butler was born on January 16, 1951, to the late Rudolph and Ola B. Butler in Memphis, Texas. He was the second of seven children. Michael attended Public Schools in Amarillo, Texas. He attended Hilltop Elementary School, Carver High School and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1969, where in excelled in sports.
He furthered his education at Central Station University, where he received a full scholarship. He was part of a Fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha.
Michael was an Employee at Owens Corning many years. Michael married the love of his life, Sharon Willis Butler after 30 years of being together in 2004 (lol). Michael loved his family very dearly. Everyone loved Michael, and he never met a stranger. Michael (Sharon) leaves behind to cherish his memories three children, Kevin Perry, Toralyn (Micheal) Richard, and Justin Butler; five siblings, Margie Butler of Atlanta, Georgia, Stevie Butler of Los Angeles, Jackie Johnson (Tommie) of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Kathy Wooten (Fred) of Los Angeles, California, Doug Butler of Okmulgee, grandchildren, Devonte Perry, Asia Perry, Kyren Butler and Kingston Butler.
