Luster Mae Ryan was born to the late Willisanna and Clarence Britt on September 19, 1936, in Ladonia, Texas. She was employed at Amarillo Lenin for 15 year and BSA for 30 years. She was a very hard working independent woman and loved to help others as much as she could. She loved to travel, have fun, dance ,and attend church. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church for several years. She loved her Frito corn chips and little Debbie nutty bars, and don’t forget the 32 oz. coke.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Belmore Ryan, Jr, parents: Clarence and Willisanna Britt, daughter: Linda Ryan, three siblings: Clarence V. Britt, Jr., Arthur Mae Britt (Shorty), and Trey Britt.

She leaves to cherish her memories; five sons: Calvin (Krystle) Ryan, Jessie Ryan, Willie (Nicole) Ryan “Tootie”, Billie Ryan of Amarillo, Texas, and Edward Lee Ryan of Lubbock, Texas, two sisters: Doris Britt and Marie Collier both of Amarillo, Texas, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Poem

God saw I was pain, so he said “come with me”, as he lays his gentle hands across my chest, I slowly begin to lose my breath. I point and tell him “I want that spot over there”. As rose petals begin to fall in place, his garden lye’s my new space. Don’t cry, don’t cry for I am no longer in pain, I’m simply home, I’m simply home. For every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart. So don’t cry for I am no longer in pain, I’m simply home, I’m simply home.
