Lucille Curtis Harris (71) passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2025.
Lucille was born July 17, 1953, in Detroit, MI, she was devout Christian full of faith. She loved the Lord with all her heart and only wanted to do God’s will, for she was an almighty servant to the Lord. Lucille was the kind of person who would tell anyone be it friend or foe about Jesus. She knew we all needed saving and wanted everyone to know that Jesus wants an intimate relationship of the heart. She would remind everyone that they are Blessed and Highly favored of the Lord.
Lucille drove a city transit bus for many years for City of Amarillo and continued to make many friends along the way. Some of Lucille's favorite things were: watching movies (she was a true movie buff) eating smelts, hot wings, and much more spending time with family and friends. Her son Demetrius meant the world to her and she always made sure that he knew how much she loved him and always reminded him to kiss her good-bye before each visit ended. Lucille enjoyed playing spades and spending time with her grand puppies, “Diamond and Strawberry”. Lucille was so full of happiness and joy.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
She is survived by her son, Demetrius Curtis of Amarillo, and sister, Tina Harris of Detroit, and her family members from Detroit.
May God bless her and keep her,
May God make his face to shine upon her,
“Forever”.
