Lovell McClendon worked at Palo Duro Nursing Home. There, he met and feel in love with Brenda. He also worked at Amarillo Nursing Center and then at Llano Cemetery before losing his leg to diabetes. He spent the past twelve (12) years in a wheelchair. Lovell was loved and taken care of by those who loved with him.
He is preceded in death by his parents: E.J. McClendon and Minnie Pearl McClendon and sisters: Juanita Burgess and Renee McClendon, and brother: Edward McClendon.
He is survived by those who loved and lived with him for over twenty (20) Years: his wife by love Brenda; stepdaughter, Melissa Gunter; grandchildren, Jasmine, Spence, Destiny, Madison, and Jackson; son, Derek Hall; stepsons, Barney; four children, Robert (Ashley) and three children; William (Jessica) and four children; brothers: Elgin McClendon, Rodney McClendon, David McClendon, Larry McClendon, Sr., and sisters: Mary Ann Roberson, Diane Collins, Rosalind Coble, and Denise Jordan, in-laws: Kathy, Tim, and Timmy. He was papa to all children in his life.
