Lela Anderson

Lela Mae Anderson departed this life on August 24th, 2020 at Northwest Texas Hospital. Lela was born January 28, 1944 in Amarillo, Texas to Edward Bryant Johnson and Creacy Margaret (Darden) Johnson.

Lela attended Carver High School and a few classes at Amarillo College.

Lela enjoyed cooking, saving money, and speaking her mind.

Lela was one of a kind, and never met anyone that she could not hold a conversation with. She left an impression on anyone she met, and she will always be remembered.

Lela was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Creacy Johnson, brothers Robert & Elbert Johnson, sister Ella Crain.

Left to cherish her memory daughters: Lerisa, Pamela, and Phyllis  Son Gregory, one brother and one sister; Charles Johnson, Amarillo, TX, Ruby Johnson, Amarillo, TX; Grandchildren Deric Lackey, Simone Lackey, Darius Alexander, Akeem Payne, Antwoine Wright, Temaine Wright, Dominic Payne, Jasmine Payne, Aalieyiauh Payne, Tiamara Payne. She leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends.
