LaShonda Gardner was born on July 22, 1975, to Jesse “JD” Gardner and Kay Towery Gardner Cunningham. Shonda was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She attended Palo Duro High School and worked for Market Street United for thirteen years.
Shonda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Her girls grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews were her world. Shonda loved R&B music, dancing and walking with her headphones and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, JD and Kay; brother, Terry Dewayne; niece, Tarajiah; grandparents, Jack, Willie B. Curtis, Sr. and Gertude; aunts, Dean, Merl, Joy, Ella Me, Helen, Louise; uncles, JT, Dillion.
She Leaves to cherish her memory her stepfather, Jerry Cunningham; four daughters, Markaivia Hubbard, Kaylaundra, Shakayra, Tykaier Gardner Gore; four grandchildren, Amiyah, Emma, Amoraa, Kristopher; sister, Veronica Shamarla, Rhonda Harper, Kaylene, Shawn Cofer; brothers, Robert, Patrick Phillip, Jerry; five nieces, Makaijsha, Alicia, Kaylee, Takaidria, Kaydrinna; nephews, Tremele, Ricky Nashon, Jaylen, Donnee, Key’Shawn, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
