Kenneth was born July 29, 1950, in Borger, Texas, to Ms. Beatrice Burcher. At an early age in the transition of his mother he was adopted by Jim and Georgie Young. He attended school at Booker T. Washington, Sam Houston Jr. High, and Borger High School in Borger, Texas, until the 11th grade where he left and went to the Job Corp in Alpine, Arizona. He accepted the Lord at an early age with love and respect and he went to Bethel Baptist Church in Borger, Texas. At one time he attended Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church under Pastor Vurn Martin.
On June 12, 1998, Kenneth Young and Jackie Young were married in Amarillo, Texas.
He worked for the Pringles as a cement finisher and after that he worked for Hugh Hall Motors as a car detailer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, adopted parents, his sister, several aunts, and uncles. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Jackie Young of Amarillo, Texas, sons, Kenneth Earl Young, II (Monecia) of Arlington, Texas, Zachary N. Young (Nariesha) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Troy Craig of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother in law, Lemural Jones of Amarillo, Texas; Dale Jones (Angie) of Orlando, Florida,; Ikie Jones of Corpus Chrisit, Texas; brothers, Ronny Wilson of Amarillo, Texas; Greg Wilson, Ricky Wilson; sister, Kathy Westmoreland (David) of Amarillo, Texas; nieces, Anastasia Cook and Yolanda Cook of Garland, Texas; Sebrina Anderson (Richard) of Amarillo, Texas; nephews, Eugene Cook, Jr. (Bernice) of New Mexico, Dwight Cook (Denise) of Arizona, Anthony Young (Felecia) of Amarillo, Texas; Jakorian (Andrea) of Wyoming, grandchildren, Tavarious, Ashtaun, Kystuan, Konner, Ceprina, CJ, with eight great grandchildren and a host of extended nieces, nephews, and friends.
