Kayne Garcia-Ammons Obituary

Kayne Sy’ir Garcia- Ammons was born on January 15, 2020 He shared the same day as our civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We are all so amazed of this beautiful baby boy gracing our presence, as well as, astonished by the date of his arrival considering our history. Kayne was his name, but as many do, we later find ourselves giving him little nicknames, like Little Dude, Biggie Mans, Phat Dad, Sir Kayne, and of course, BOSS Baby.

Within the months and seasons leading up to the year that we were blessed with his presence, we got to learn, experience moments, and memories which made him special to each of us. His HUGE smile and his big pretty brown dreamy eyes touched our souls and melted our hearts.

During this short precious time, we were blessed with his presence. We got joy out of seeing what made him happy and smile. He had a strong love for music. If he was in a car there had to be music playing and it had to stay on. There could not be any interruptions, such as ads, commercial breaks, or bad internet. If the music stopped playing, he would certainly let you know. That is how much he enjoyed music.

There was nothing he loved and enjoyed more than his favorite tv show, “BOSS Baby”. It did not matter where he was or what device; tv, laptop or tablet, he would watch it on, Boss Baby was taking over at a headquarters near you. He loved all the different babies and all the different things each one of them were capable of. His favorite scenes of BOSS Baby were the colorful clouds mixed with all colors of the rainbow. BOSS Babies’ job was being a baby.

Our baby did just that, Stayed a baby! Once you turn one year of age, you are on your way to becoming a toddler. Unlike most toddlers we did not get to experience milestones that a child at that age would be due to unknown undiagnosed medical issues. Since birth he had to FIGHT through health issues, endless Dr. appt’s, excessive routine labs, and physical therapy. For these many reasons, we did not get to share those moments of him being able to sit up, roll over, or crawl. It is like he knew he was here to be just that, our baby. We never understood why he loved BOSS Baby so much. A few days after my nephew’s passing, we realized BOSS Baby headquarters was in the sky.

In memory of

Boss Baby Kayne Sy’ir

Retired in the sky.

Our grandmother always said,

“With a name like Kayne, the significance of the day he was born, and his battle with health issues, not to mention being born into a pandemic.”

HE WAS BORN TO BE STRONG!!!
