Kathleen Anthony was born February 3, 1943, in Camp Hill, Alabama to Odessa Maddox. She was the second oldest of seven children whom she helped her mother raise until she met the love of her life Otis Lee Anthony in 1959 and married on August 12, 1961 in Amarillo, Texas.
Kathleen was a mother (mom) to many. Her love for children was her heart's desire. She travelled the world alongside her husband as they served in the military (United States Air Force) for 41 years. Upon retiring and settling here in Sacramento, California she worked for North HIghlands, the Foothills and retired from Grant district after many years. Many of her students called her mom/grandma and if she could wrap her arms around them altogether she would. She made sure no child was hungry as she was over the culinary/cafeteria department.
She loved fishing, getting out on her boat with her friend Ms Willie. She was a chef who loved to cook. She loved pottery/ceramic classes. She played bingo, pokeno, and cards. She loved her family the most. She took pride in caring for her husband and children. Family was what she lived for.
She is preceded in death her husband Otis Lee Anthony, her mother Odessa Bailey, father Esley Bailey Sr, a sister Mary Haskins, a brother Esley Bailey, nephew Michael Fields, niece Alexandria and Felita Bailey
She leaves to cherish her children Sharon Diane Faulkner (Jim) La Teresa Robertson, Rose Anthony-Shaw (Mickey), a son Mark Anthony. Sisters: Yvette Jeffries (Herman), Dorothy Fields (Ray), Felita Bailey (Delroy), Greta Rucker. A host of grandchildren, great grandchild, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
