We mournfully announce the passing of Jolinda Dickson, 72, of Fort Stockton, Texas / Odessa, Texas. Jolinda passed away on April 28, 2021, in Amarillo, Texas, surrounded by her family.
Jolinda, born to John & Ruby Sanders, took her first breath on June 2, 1948. Jolinda was a force to be reckoned with from the get-go. She attended school in Fort Stockton, Texas. Jolinda has four siblings: Pam, Johnny, Kathy, Ronnie, and Eddie. Jolinda has three: children: Eric, Sheree, and Michael.
Jolinda moved to Odessa, Texas in the late 80’s and she began working, for Dillard’s in Odessa for twenty-eight years. She transferred to Dillard’s in Amarillo working five years before retiring from Dillard’s thirty-three years. When Jolinda retired, she devoted most of her time to caring for her mother, gardening, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was “Granny Jo” and loved her grandchildren and they all loved her just the same.
Jolinda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruby, and a brother: Eddie Gene.
She leaves her children, Eric, Sheree (Delvin), and Michael, nine grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a big thank you to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, nurse, Misty Hill, RN was the best.
Services will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1000 W Clements St, Odessa, Texas 79763, at 10:00 AM.
