John Paul Curtis was born February 23,1965, in Bryan, Texas, to Paul and Bessie Curtis. John attended Bryan High School and Bryan College Station Trade School. He moved to Amarillo and met his love, Peggy.
He believed in hard work and was dedicated to his family. He loved his family. His favorite past time was singing and listening to his music. John loved Dragon Ball Z, Kim McCoy, and the colors burgundy and black. He had the gift of writing music. John was a humble man who just like to relax and be at home.
He is preceded in death by parents, Paul and Bessie Curtis, siblings, George Curtis and Hattie Curtis.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Newman, children: Porche Curtis, Jonathan Curtis, Meosha Curtis, Carnell Thompson, Zy’Asia Curtis; grandchild, Ja’Marion Curtis; eight siblings, Carolyn (Reggie) Whiting of Conroe, Texas, Nannie Curtis of Bryan, Texas, Rosia Benford of Bryan, Texas Velma Curtis of Bryan, Texas, Claude (Bridgette) Curtis of Cameron, LA, Thomas (Stephanie) Curtis of College Station, Texas, Dawn (Terry) Curtis of Bryan, Texas Joshua Curtis of Bryan, Texas, sixteen step-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
