JoAnn (Swain) Baker

JoAnn Swain 71, left us on May 12, 2020 at her home in Amarillo, Texas. JoAnn was born July 15, 1948, in Amarillo, Texas to Obie and Dovie Mae Swain. JoAnn lived up to her name which means "God is Gracious". She always kept a smile on her face as she brought happiness to others in her own special way. She was honest, witty, and beautiful. She lived her life to the fullest with no regrets and no stopping. Giving up was not apart of her thought process. She was blessed to be a blessing to everyone along her journey.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Obie and Dovie Mae Swain, her brothers; Obie Swain, Jr. and Charles Edward Swain and her sister; Mary Francis Adcock.

She is survived by her siblings; Kay Swain Al Swain, Gregory Swain, Alma Swain, Kevin Swain, Douglas Swain, Violet Swain-Gragg, Sharon Swain-Parker, Juanita Morris, Morrielyn Morris-Johnson, Tracy Morris, and Bill Morris. Her living legacy, sons; Robert Charles Hines, Darryl Maurice Baker, DoShaun Andre Baker, Jerome Eureese Baker, Sr. and her many amazing grandchildren; Mattie Baker, Robert James Baker, Anastasia Baker, Darice Baker, Darrick Baker, Julius Baker, Morgan Baker, TreShawn Baker, Jerome Baker, Jr., JeRamon Baker, Jasmine Baker. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, that love her unconditionally.
