Jervaris De’Juantae Gardner was born May 11, 1983, in Amarillo, Texas, to Jimmy Jones and Sandra Gardner. He attended Coronado Elementary School, Horace Mann Middle School, and Palo Duro High School. Jervaris was very good with his hands. He played football for Horace Mann Middle School and Palo Duro High School, and he ran track for Kids Inc. He knew electronics inside and out and could fix car stereos, speakers, video games, you name it. He was a karate kid who loved watching karate movies, he also enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his family,
children, and friends. His favorite food was beef tips and rice. Jervaris was a jokester making everyone laugh. He kept a smile on his face. He was a HUGE Baltimore Ravens fan; when you see Bookey, he had some kind of shades on. He was very loved. He smiled through it all and he will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosie Louise Hall; grandfathers, Herschel Gardner, Sr., and Thurman Hall; and uncle, Herschel Gardner, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: the mother of his children, Ashley Petty (Quanah); daughter, Javara Gardner; sons, Juantae Gardner, Jamarion Gardner, Ja’Vionn Gardner, and Ja’khari Gardner; father, Jimmy Jones; mother, Sandra Gardner; brother, Lontrail Gardner; sisters, Leashia (Landen Fields) Gardner and Blessing Jones; niece, Imani Gardner; cousins, Nichelle Gardner and Herschel Garnder III; and a host of other family and friends.
