Jerry Cook was born July 7, 1947, in Plainview, Texas, to Milton and Daisy (Bell) Cook. He later moved to Amarillo, Texas, after a career in the United States Air Force. Jerry was an honorable Veteran, who proudly served his country. Family and friends referred to him as, “Mr. Jerry”, out of reverence for his character. Out of all of the things that he cherished in life, being called, “PawPaw”, by his grandchildren and great grandchildren was at the top of his list. He enjoyed his last earthly days in the company of his special granddaughter, JaJuana
Harvey, as she cared for him in her home.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerry Cook (his twin) and William Cook, a sister, Chinester Cook, and his life partner, Patricia Crain.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons; Xavier Cook, Jerry Marshall, and Tristan Cook, four daughters; Sherry Marshall, Tara Cook, Patricia Williams, and Alisa Smith
Cook, bonus children; LaTorsha Crain and Torei Crain, two brothers; Charlie (Rushia) of Houston, Texas, and Lindsey Cook of Huntsville, Texas, two sisters; Clancy Nell of Los Angeles, California, and Sammie (Wendell) Johnson of San Angelo, Texas, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
