Javier Steven Rojas Romero was an eleven-year-old kid. He was born on June 16, 2009, in Amarillo, Texas. Javier was loved by everyone because of his big heart. He had talented as well. He played in the orchestra and band, and he wanted to do more. He wanted to graduate from high school and go to Texas Tech. The career he had chosen was a doctor because he wanted to save lives, even for people who were poor. He wanted to help them. Javier was not just a normal kid, to me, he was a light sent from God. He would always smile. I never saw him cry no matter how stressed he was. He was always smiling. He even made other people happy even if stuff was happening. He would always put people first. He wanted to do a lot of things, such as, help a family learn other languages and explore the world. He was a kid that never saw that life was hard because he loved the things of God.
He would always try to learn verses and he even liked to go to church and go with kids. some kids do not like going to church because they say church is boring, but he never found it boring because of his love for God was big, as the love for us. I remember one time he had to do a play and he was the bear and he fell asleep in the play. Everybody was calling him, “bear wake up.” Javi woke up and said “roar.” He was such a goofball, and he would make us laugh. Even though he is not with us anymore, I know he is watching over us with that big smile. He is with us in our heart because he loved us so much and we love him too. I know life is hard to move on because I know he is someone we love but I know he would like us to keep on going. It is going to be hard, but we should try for the love that we have for Javier.
