Janice Vega was born on June 20, 1964 in Amarillo, Texas to Elbert and Johnnie Trotter. She lived a full life committed to raising her three children with an even greater love for her grandchildren. She took pride in her relationship with God and was a long-standing member of St. John Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Johnnie Trotter; sister, Vernice Black; brother, Nathan Williams and
daughter, Elexias Ouanemalay.
Her life was a mere reflection of God’s love and the importance of family. Her legacy will be carried through generations beyond.
She is survived by one son, Cedric (Marissa) Woods of Colorado; three daughters, April Woods, Brittany Woods, and Lea Woods all of Amarillo, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; one brother, Clark Trotter of Avery, Texas; two sisters, Letha Williams and Sharon Wafer both of Amarillo, Texas; two stepsons, Curtis Smith III of Forney, Texas and Romello Smith of Clarendon, Texas; five stepdaughters, Chrissy Smith of Amarillo, Texas, Shalise Jones and Shardae Smith of Arlington, Texas, Shaynise Smith of Forney, Texas and Sandrea Smith of Clarendon, Texas and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and a mother figure to many others.
