James McIntosh was born on March 10, 1973, and passed away November 23, 2025, at the age of 52. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Wellington, Texas. He lived a life marked by strength, dedication, and deep love for his family. He found joy in the simple things like growing his own garden, fishing, and cooking meals that brought people together. James was naturally athletic, and his talent and determination earned him a college football scholarship, an achievement he was proud of.
His sense of duty led him to serve in the United States military, where he honorably served during Desert Storm. James carried the discipline and resilience from his service throughout his life.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Johnetta McIntosh and
James McIntosh, Sr., niece, She-toi Mitchell; uncle, Charles McIntosh, S., and Wayne Marshall; aunt, Esther McIntosh and Alfreda Lawrey; grandmother, Coreen Washington; grandfather, Tody Washington.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory daughter, Jaylah McIntosh; sister, Kareda Mitchell, Tameica McIntosh, Lynn McIntosh, and Lisa McIntosh; brother, Ernest Mitchell Nieces; Le’Cira McIntosh, Bre’awn Gildon , Eccence Lewis, Autumn Chaney, Charly Dennis, ameila McIntosh and Tyisha Ray; nephews, Darius Gildon Chad McIntosh, Deante Humphrey. He also leaves to mourn numerous cousins’ other family and friends.
Above all, James was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Jaylah McIntosh, who was the light of his life. His love for her was unwavering, and he took great pride in being her father. Though our hearts ache today, we are grateful for the time we had. Grateful for the memories we will carry, the lessons they taught us, and the love they gave so freely. James leaves behind a legacy not defined by loss, but by love, love that time and distance can never erase. As we say goodbye, we do so knowing that James will always be with us in our stories, in our laughter, in the quiet moments when we feel their presence guiding us forward. We will honor them by living with the same kindness, compassion, and love they showed to the world. His legacy lives on through his daughter and the many lives he touched.
