Jacklyn V. Gilbreath-Moore was born on May 6, 1966, in Amarillo, Texas, to Curtis Goolsby, Sr., and Pearlie Penns.
Jacklyn “Jackie” was born and raised in Amarillo, TX. She was an active youth at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was baptized under the direction of Reverend P. E. Armstrong. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1985. She resided in Ft. Worth, TX, and worked for Prudential Home Healthcare in Arlington, TX. She moved back to Amarillo, where she enrolled in Milan Institute and graduated in 2021.
Jackie was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her children and grandchildren were her whole world. Jackie loved R&B music. She enjoyed watching football and her favorite team was the “Dallas Cowboys.”
Jackie was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Gilbreath; sister, Angela Coulter; grandfather, Edward Gilbreath, Sr.; and grandmother, Vurnell Gilbreath.
Jackie leaves her legacy to her mother, Pearlie Penns; father, McArther Stidom; father, Curtis Goolsby (Carolyn) of Bryan, TX; daughters, Shika Gilbreath and LaToya Evans; sons; Jacquel Love, Jasper Moore and Syltavious Moore; brothers, Tony Gilbreath and Johnny Wells of Amarillo, TX, and Curtis Goolsby, Jr., of Bryan, TX; sister, Sandra Gardner; and grandchildren, Javonte, Jiveion, Jakyrean, Jaiten, Jaikeistin, Jaikingsten, Jordan, Jehlani, Ji’Zavien, Ji’Kavien, Ja’Zaria, Ja’Zarien, Ja’Leiyah, and Ja’Leyah.
