Henry was born to Gennie Weeks McNary and Henry Lee Barnes on October 6, 1972, in Floydada, Texas. He graduated from Valley High School and found a love of cooking to be his joy and career. He was the youngest of his family with several older brothers to help guide his path. But, being the independent spirited young man he was, he found his own way. And that way was different from everyone else. He was quick to smile and point out the good in every sit- uation. His laugh always brought more laughter to those around him. Henry found comfort in wearing cowboy boots, preparing beef jerky and cheering for his Denver Broncos. After moving to Amarillo in 1988, he dab- bled in various fields of employment. He finally found his place by sharing his love of cooking with the customers and employees of Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. He worked there for eight years and would be there still if God had not called him home.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Lee Barnes, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Khiahna McNary of Wilburton, OK; a sister, Mary Benard of Amarillo; three brothers, Jackie (Brandy) McNary, James McNary and Gary McNary all of
Amarillo, several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
