Harry Bowie, Sr.

Harry Bowie was born September 9, 1937, in Borger, Texas to Lee Bowie and Ollie Lightfoot. He was educated in the Borger Independent School District, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School.

Later in life he met and married Teresa Warren for 28 years and to this union one child was born.

He worked for the Amarillo Bowling Alley for a short period, and later he retired from Tender Crust Bakery after 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers: Verdell, Jimmy, Larry, Vernell, William and Ernest Bowie and three sisters: Eddie Mae, Vera Smith, and Erma Mae Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife, Teresa; children: Carolyn Hall of Lawton, Ok, Harry Bowie Jr., Wanda Graves, Breanna Warren and Brooklyn Bowie, all of Amarillo, two sisters: Mattie King of California., and Maggie Johnson of Borger, Texas; twelve grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of loving relative and friends.
