Gregory Turner Obituary

Gregory Dean Turner was called home on Monday May 11, 2026, at theage of 62. His life will be celebrated with love, gratitude and home.

Gregory Dean was born on September 27, 1963, in Ft Sill, Oklahoma, to Dizzy Dean and Linn Etta Turner. He was baptized at a very tender age at Johnson Chapel AME church in Amarillo, Texas. He began his journey of faith and dedication at that time.

He graduated from the prestigious Palo Duro High School with the class of 1983. He received a Gray Ford Mustang shortly after graduation which he treasured and adored and still has it to this day stored at his home in Modesto. Immediately following his High School graduation, he attended Texas State Technical Institute (T.S.T.I.) where he became certified in welding. In 1988 age the age of 25, Gregory moved to San Francisco, California, eventually settling down in Modesto California. This is where he met the love of his life Christine
Scott Turner, and he built a life with her.

Gregory Dean was a quiet, humble man who expressed his love through his actions more than his words. However, when he spoke you would listen because you knew whatever he was saying was important and worth hearing. He had a love for fishing {even though he didn’t eat fish}, shooting pool and dedicated to his beloved Dallas Cowboys. These were his loves and hobbies, however his passion above everything else was his love and dedication to his entire family.

He loved each and every one exactly the same from his immediate family including his extended immediate family. Gregory was preceded in death by his dedicated father, Dizzy Dean Turner in 2011. He was also preceded by James W Turner (grandfather) Mrs. Roxie Urquart (grandmother) and Ollie Mae Walker (grandmother) Kenneth D Turner (Uncle) Tommie Turner(uncle) Helen
D Thornton (aunt) and Patricia A Turner (aunt).

He leaves to cherish his memory his unwavering mother, Linn Etta Turner. The love of his life Christine Scott Turner. His loving sister Felicia Brown and brother-in-law Craig Brown. His has one nephew Kaiman Turner, one niece Kamaria Turner. He has one great nephew Kenxo Kinari Dean Turner. He also leaves two stepchildren James
Willbanks (Kim), Regina Parris (James). To cherish more memories are host of cousins and two Uncles Benny Turner (Lena) Johnny Turner (Judy), Anna Turner of Dallas. Cherishing his memory is his extended family and lifelong friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Gregory Dean’s life will be remembered as one of quiet strength, love and lasting impact. Though he has left us in body, his spirit lives on in the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind.
