Gerry was born January 27, 1961 in Childress, Texas to Mr. Benny C. Lawson and Ms. Dorothy J. Freeman. Gerry loved to fish and he enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys.
He was a man of many words who loved to laugh, live free, and always left an unforgettable impression, to know him was to love him!
He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy J. Freeman and Benny C.Lawson, one sister Twanda Brown, three children Schleta, Schmake Durley, and Gerry Lawson Jr, a granddaughter I’Veyonna Durley.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters; Brenda Freeman, Angela Batton, one brother; Billy Lawson. Wife Ollie Durley, four children; Sekennata, Schennaka, Shaneate Durley, Holly Parker, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a very special friend Keith Freeman, and a host of friends and family.
