Mr. George Hyman Jr., 71, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022. George was born June 12, 1951, in Amarillo, Texas to Magnolia Hills and George Hyman, Sr. George attended Amarillo High School. He was self-employed; owner of A-1 Movers, and A-1 Mowers. George was employed at Allied Movers in the early 70’s. George was a Christian and attended various churches in the community. George enjoyed his classic cars, as well as riding his motorcycles. George also enjoyed shooting pool. Between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm everyone that knew George, knew not to interrupt him because he was watching the news.
George was preceded in death by his mother, Magnolia Hills, father, George Hyman Sr., and two brothers, W.C. Gaffney and Herbert Hills.
George leaves to cherish his memory, a sister, Nadine (Reverend Morris E. Mitchell), three brothers: John David Hyman, Fabian (Miriam) Hyman all of Amarillo, Texas, and Vincent Hyman of Atlanta, Georgia, stepmother, Mrs. Deloris Thirlkill of Amarillo, Texas. A special friend and caregiver, Ms. Kathy Fivek. George had a host of cousins,
nieces, and nephews who he cherished, as well as friends.
