Frank Albert Walker was born on July 15, 1939, in Tyler, TX to the late Leon George Walker and Mattie Adams. Frank spent his early childhood in Tyler, Texas. He moved to Amarillo when he was a teenager where he graduated from Carver High School. He earned the Eldon Durrett Memorial scholarship and attended West Texas State College in Canyon, TX. Frank worked for Royal Glass and Pittsburgh Plate Glass for many years before going into business for himself. He was the proud owner and operator of Frank’s Glass & Glazing, which serviced the Amarillo area and surrounding cities for over 50 years. On Saturday, December 3, 2022, Frank accepted his invitation to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by both parents, and only son, Rodney Walker.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Colette Walker and son-in-law, Giel Brackins of Carrollton, TX; daughter, Christa Walker of Amarillo, TX; brother, Leon Walker of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, Krishna Harrington and great-grandson, Kaleb-Charles Scott Harrington of Frisco, TX; nieces, Yolanda Walker-Hensley and Sharonda Walker-Calahan, of Dallas, TX, and other family members and friends.
