Evonne (Gipson) Bailey

Evonne Gipson Bailey was born January 23, 1970, in Amarillo, Texas, to the late Lillie Mae Moore and Willie Brown. Evonne went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2021.

Evonne attended Palo Duro High School. She got married and then moved to Altus Oklahoma. She excepted Christ in her life at an early age. Evonne was a faithful hard worker at her church, Greater Love Ministries Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed cooking, doing handywork, crossword puzzles, playing sports, playing Super Mario on Nintendo, and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Lillie Mae Moore and Willie Brown, sisters: Bedale Hicks and Catherine Brown, sons: Marquis Smith, Jr. and Joseph Gipson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her three children: Rochelle Gipson (Marlon), Lillie Bailey (Wisdom), Jahire Gipson, granddaughters: Faith Johnson "Fat Mama", Amirah Okafor (May 15, 2022), brothers: Robert Gipson (Mae) Jerry Gipson, Albert L. Gipson (Gwen), Willie Earl Gipson, Kevin Gipson (Wendy), Dexter Gipson, sisters: Annie Coleman (Charles), Lois Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
