Emma loved to hear about the word of God. Any where that she went, she would let people know about God. She was anointed and a blessed woman of God. Her love for her husband, James, was a bond that could not be broken. They shared 56 years of love and cherished all the good memories together. Emma had passion about her kids and grandkids she didn’t play when it came to them. The love, she showed everyone was joyful to see. He could brighten up a room when she walked in.
One word to describe Emma, is she is a phenomenal woman. She loved to eat with her family and friends. She was all about spending time with her family making sure everyone was accounted for on Sunday morning. Her hobby was to spend and sing with her great grandchildren and buying them candy and spoiling them.
She was a missionary for Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, a prayer chaplain for the Women’s Department for the Church of God in Christ, Amarillo and Canyon district, under the supervision of Superintendent Albert Lee Gipson. She was a truly a Proverbs 31 Woman.
She is preceded by her parents, Elmer Black and Essie May Evans, children, Isaiah Carter, Essie Marie Carter, Terry Lee Carter, Mary Foster, Joyce Ross, and Jean Foster.
She is survived by her husband, Evangelist James Foster; children, Jerry (Gayle) Carter of Amarillo, TX; James Foster of Clarksville, TN; Martha (Joseph) Welch of Amarillo, TX; Betty (Mitcheal) Johnson of Amarillo, TX; Gloria Baker of Amarillo, TX; Joseph Foster of Amarillo, TX; a great number of grand, great grandchildren, a great number of nieces and nephews.
She might have passed on, but her love and legacy will continue within her family. Thank you for your love and legacy will continue within her family, thank you for your love and caring and concern for everyone. The care you had will forever be missed but not forgotten.
