Eddie Joe Baker Jr., 47 died Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born July 20, 1976, to Eddie Baker and Shirley D Black. (Both deceased) Eddie attended San Jacinto Elementary, Sam Houston Middle School, and Tascosa High School for a short time. He later got his GED and CDL license and worked driving trucks for Fuller and Sons Trucking Company. He was also employed with Spherion contracted out for Warehouse work. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to old-school music, reminiscing about the past, and just going through the day-to-day life as “Boogie”. He also enjoyed just being his annoying goofy self, dancing, making people laugh with his jokes, funny sayings and helping his neighbor and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Eddie Baker and Shirley D. Black.
He is survived by his siblings, Stephanie Baker, Ashinie Martin, Eddrick Baker, Seattle WA; Avery Baker, Arizona; and his former wife, Alicia Duran, and her four children: Clarisa Duran, Destiny Duran, Briana Duran, Adrianna Wafer, eleven grandchildren; aunt Marguerite Ivory (Fineas) of Amarillo, TX; aunt Erma Mitchell, Amarillo, TX; three uncles, Edward Black, Robert Black (Marlo), and Kelcy Baker, all from Amarillo, TX; cousins: Fonzie Ivory, Houston, TX; Patroskie Ivory, WyTonya Randle, Amarillo, TX, nieces: LaMeka Mitchell, Enyjah Mitchell, Tiraney Hill, Cheyenne Baker, Lazarae Baker, Averyona Baker, Savannah Baker, Jalitta Baker, nephews: JaQualin Williams, Davan Hill, A’Tayvion Gentry Eddrick Baker, Avery Jr, and a host of family and friends.
