Earnest Bowie was born September 10, 1963, to Earnest Bowie and Rachel Loftis (Bowie), in Amarillo, Texas. He attended Whittier Elementary, Travis Middle School, and Palo Duro High School, Class of 82. He worked for Diversified for twenty years and A1 Floors for three years.
He enjoyed a variety of sports such as basketball, football, baseball, and fishing. His goals were to help athletes gain confidence and believe in their ability to succeed. Thank you, Harrington Cancer Center, Northwest Texas Hospital, BSA Hospice of Southwest and Blood Donors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Bowie and Rachel Loftis (Bowie) and sister, Sharon Kaye Bowie.
He is survived by his brothers, Elmer Bowie, Gary Bowie; sister, Rethea Williams; nephew, CJ Williams; nieces, Alex and Brianca Williams; great-nieces, Zuri and Maya; son, who he assisted in raising, Deshema May, Sr.; his sons, Dashema, Jr. and Devon; aunts, Betty Wren of Oklahoma City and Christines Hart of East, Texas, and a host cousin and friends who are like family.
