Doris Martin was born on August 22, 1938, to the late James and Jimmie Beavers, in Frost, TX.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a faithful member of Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church for many years. She was a treasure for the Greater Mt. Olive Mission and served on the Pastors Aide.
Doris Martin retired from Levi Strauss as Production Inspector after 20 plus years of service.
Big Momma enjoyed spending time with family, going to church, thrift store shopping, cooking. Her favorite colors were blue and purple.
She was preceded in death by, her parents, James and Jimmie Beavers, a loving husband, James “Big Daddy” Martin, her brother, Clyde Beavers, two sisters, Velma Timmons and Jessie Price, a daughter Wanda Flanagan, and a granddaughter, Jenifer Beavers.
