Debra Harris was born September 15, 1962, in Amarillo, TX to James and Rosie Hood. She attended Margaret Wills Elementary, Sam Houston Middle School, and Tascosa High School.
She worked many years at Brooke Dale Nursing Home and Caprock Nursing Home. She cared deeply for her clients Debra was a very caring person, anytime family or friends needed her. She would drop everything to help.
Debra was a devoted mother, sisters aunt, cousin, and friend. Her children and grandchildren were her whole world. She loved listening to music, dancing, whopping butt in dominoes and traveling with her husband Major.
Debra reunites in eternal life with her husband Major Harris; parents, James and Rosie Hood; son, Alfred Hood; sisters, Ann Hood and Bernice Jenkins; brother, James Vernon Hood.
Debra is remembered by her children, Trichina Hicks (Mahliek Hill), Veronica Hill (Tony Collins), Norman Hill, Jr. (Cynthia Hill) all of Amarillo, TX, Demarkus Hicks (Marissa Hicks) of Clayton, New Mexico; granddaughters, Zakiayah and Zyiah; grandsons, Tony Jr, Ty’Zavien, Zabrion, Zhyaire, Drayton, Dontrill, D’Qarriy, Dacious; sisters, Senobia Hood of Lubbock, TX; Delores Jones, and Betty Hood; brothers, Bruce Hood, Tony Hood, Hoarce Lee Hood, Charles Hood, and Dennis Hood all of Amarillo, TX and host of family and friends.
