David DeWitt Durley Jr. was born November 12, 1955 to Jewel Burks-Durley and David Durley Sr. David attended Palo Duro High School up until his junior year; he then chose to quit school to help raise his younger siblings. In 1981, David moved from Amarillo to Denton, Texas where he was employed at Denton State School after 8 years, he went to work for the City of Denton as a Commercial Truck Driver he continued to work there until his health started to fail. In 1989 David returned to Amarillo to be near his family. David had a heart of gold and gave unselfishly to anyone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Richard and Lawrence Durley.
He leaves to cherish one son, Chris Edmond, one daughter, Andorra Marsh of Amarillo, Texas; one stepson, Willie Davis; three stepdaughters, Veronica Davis, Martha Davis and Sharonda Davis all of Amarillo, Texas; four sisters, Delois (Mossadig) Adedrian of Denton, Texas, Ollie Durley, Sherry Durley Jones and Lenora (Gary) Moore all of Amarillo, Texas; four brothers, Floyd (Cheryl) Durley, Jan (Tammy) Durley, Erral Durley and Terry Durley all of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family, and friends.
David Dewitt Durley Jr aka Lil Dave was loved by many.
