Dave Ella Rohden Obituary

Dave Ella “Stonnie” Mae Stewart-Rohden, was born April 26, 1942, to Stonewall Jackson and Ada Stewart in Detroit, Michigan. She would later ven ture to Amarillo, Texas and make it her home. She loved caring for people she worked at Northwest Texas Hospital as a Registered Nurse for many years until she decided to retire. At that point sit ting home just wasn't enough for her, so she went to work at the North YMCA as a cook where she meets her adoptive family, the workers, children and their parents of the daycare facility.

Stonnie was just who she was, Miss Stonnie to some and Granny Stonnie to others. This had become her life until her health started to fail, and she had to slow down even though she didn't want to. Anyone that knew here knew she was very independent and determined to do it all on her own.

She is preceded in death by her parents and only son Henry Sebastian Rohden.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Kettrick Branch (Denise), Tameron Chorn (Jeffery), Alpine Branch, Kamille Davis, Sebastian Rohden, Dustin Baker, Elgin Rohden, Brooklyn Baker, Henry Rohden, Ambrie Ingram, Cameron Rohden, Chosen Rohden and Manqualyn Wilson and a host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, family and friends. She also leaves to cherish her memo ries her adoptive daughters Mary Bryant and April Gracia and her children.
