Claude L. Hill

Claude L. Hill was born September 2, 1944, to Luvina Hill in Goree, Texas. He attended Carver High School until 1961. Claude worked for the Silver Grill Restaurant, Producer's Grain, Amarillo Car Wash, Glover Packing Company, and The Smelter. He worked at these companies until their closing. Claude also worked for Mead's Bakery, where he retired. Claude visited various churches and was known by numerous church members and friends.

Claude enjoyed watching sports. His favorite sports team was the Dallas Cowboys. He loved riding his bicycle. He never owned a car, so his way of transportation was his bike. Claude was a hard worker.  He was a man of service and was very kind.  He loved his children and family. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Luvina Hill, brothers, Pat Kelly Hill, Tommy Lee Hill, and Little Jim Hill, Jr.

Claude is survived by his children, Celestine Allen, Tonita Allen, and Angelique Cummings; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Vera McClendon, Barbara Johnson, Sandra Hill, Priscilla Hill, Janice Hill Davis, all of Amarillo; brothers, Gregory Hill, Eddie Lee Hill, Noland Hill, Norman Hill, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
