Charlotte Marie Simmons

Charlotte Simmons was born May 13, 1965, in Amarillo, Texas, to Charles Kinder and Dorothy Simmons. With God’s grace and the love that showered over Charlotte, her father’s aunt, Aunt Cewillia “Babysister” Hill Grady and husband, Arthur Lee Grady embraced their niece, Charlotte, with so much love as their own daughter before they had their own children. Two years later the Lord blessed Arthur and Cewillia “Babysister” Hill Grady to have their own biological children, Dennis L. Grady, Demetria Grady, and Rochell Grady.

Charlotte was married to Charles Woods for thirty-five years. Charlotte and Charles’ legacy lives on through their beautiful and ambitious seven children. She enjoyed coloring, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She had a heart of gold. She helped raise her cousins, nieces, and nephews

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Kinder, and Arthur and Cewillia “Babysister” Hill-Grady. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Tristen, Charleston (Mickey), Cameron, Charmonta, Latavia, Odie, and Damonze; siblings, Teresa Simmons, Ronda Gall, Demetria Grady, Rochell Grady, Danta Johnson, Ryhan Johnson, Marcus Johnson, Latham (Yolanda) Johnson, Michael (Delilah) Kellum, Dennis Grady, and Ronnie Grady; grandmother, Bertha Bowers, who is 102 Years old; five grandchildren, K’Dence, Memorie, Sloan, Amare, and Suede; aunts; uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
