Charlie Ray Love, Jr., passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas at the age of seventy-two years old. Charlie Ray Love, Jr., was born on October 30, 1948, in Quanah, Texas, to Charlie Ray and Ester Love. He was a member of McKinney Chapel CME Church and a graduate of Douglas High School. He served in the Army and Navy.
He married Betty Crenshaw on October 25, 1974, in Amarillo, Texas.
To this union two children were born Vanessa and Elisa Love. His favorite past time was watching westerns, fishing, and driving trucks over the road.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Ester Love, grandparents: Charlie and Callie Love, and John and Lizzie Birdine.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Betty Love, two daughters, Elisa (Tavi) and Vanessa (Kahana), sister, CharMaine Love-Gonzales, brothers, Sam Love and Michael Jackson, six-children, Kondrenae, Jalecia, Keondre, Keionna, Dra’Onna, and Taleigha, four great grandchildren, and his very-very best friend, Charles Claudrick, and a host of family and friends.
