Charles E. Woods was born to Odie Woods, Jr. and Nuggie Woods in Quanah, Texas. He attended and graduated from Quanah Public School. He played football for the Quanah Indian Football team. After graduation, he moved to Amarillo, Texas.
Charles worked hard to support his family. There was not much he wouldn’t do for his family and friends. He was a fun-loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Odie Woods, Sr., brother, Otis Vanell and sister, Sharon Woods Parsons.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Simmons Woods, mother, Nuggie Woods of San Antonio, Texas, seven sons: Charles, Tristan, Charleston, Cameron, Odie, Fredric, and Damonze, five daugthers: Tosah, Jillian, Paige, Charmonta, Latavia, sisters: Mae Helen, Sheryl Lemelle, Victoria Woods, Alice, Marsha Claudricks, Sylvia Woods, Olivia Woods, April Woods, brothers: Johnnie, Donald Woods, George Collins, Elston Woods, Michael Woods, and Marvin Woods, nine grandchildren, special friends: Douglas Crow, Demetria Grady, and Marilyn Toombs, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
